For Power BI

Your dashboards, narrated.

Drop one visual on a report. Write the story you want told, once. Verbaliser turns whatever rows are on screen into a plain-English narration — and rewrites it automatically every time a filter, slicer or cross-highlight changes the data underneath it.

Site operations report in Power BI, showing tonnes hauled by site
Site operations

"Tonnes hauled rose 6% week-on-week, led by North Pit's 8% gain — truck utilisation held steady despite the added volume."

Regional sales report in Power BI, showing revenue by quarter and region
Regional sales

"Revenue grew 12% quarter-on-quarter, driven mainly by the West region — East's flat growth is worth a look before next quarter's targets are set."

Fleet maintenance report in Power BI, showing unplanned downtime by week
Fleet maintenance

"Unplanned downtime fell 15% this month after the North Pit fleet's service window — Truck 14 remains the outlier with three call-outs."

Narrations

Power BI integration

Download visual

Pull the narrations you've already generated back into Power BI as a table, live over DirectQuery.

In Power BI: Get Data > PostgreSQL database, enter the Server and Database above, set Data Connectivity mode to DirectQuery, then on the credentials screen choose Database and paste in the Username and Password, then pick outputs from the Navigator list. The username and password are generated for you — copy them now, they won't be shown again.

Draft documentation. These pages describe how Verbaliser is built and operated today, for security and procurement review. Highlighted items are placeholders that haven't been confirmed yet — treat them as unresolved, not as commitments. The Terms and Privacy Policy remain the binding documents.

  • Privacy, access or deletion request — Docs → Data retention and deletion.
  • Billing question — the Billing tab has your invoices; email us for anything it doesn't answer.

Edit narration

Paste this into Verbaliser's Endpoint URL setting in Power BI. It stays the same forever — even if you edit the narration. If it ever leaks, rotate it to issue a new one; the old URL stops working immediately.

Required alongside the URL — paste it into the visual's Endpoint Secret setting. If it ever leaks on its own, rotate just the secret; the URL keeps working.

Checking for data…

New narration

  1. 1 Connect
  2. 2 Describe
  3. 3 Done

Paste both into Verbaliser in Power BI (Endpoint URL + Endpoint Secret), then give it some data.

Waiting for data from Power BI…

What it's for, what it should tell the reader, and how it should sound.
